The Caddy-Motion in-car re-charger consists of a battery-retaining cradle, designed to be secured to the floor of the vehicle. The battery is secured to the cradle by use of a strong, flexi-type, retaining strap, suitable for all battery sizes. The cradle is connected to the car battery via the alternator. The cradle contents include electronic relays which monitor and adjust the amount of charge the battery receives. This is a benefit with regards to the ongoing lifespan and longevity of the battery. When the vehicle is not in use, the caddy cart battery and the vehicle are disengaged from each other, thus protecting both systems from any discharging that may occur.

The battery charge condition is indicated by the use of two L.E.D light indicators i.e. Red flashing indicator = system charging. Green flashing indicator = charged and ready for use. Caddy-Motion have also incorporated a cigarette type power source for other accessories that the user may wish to enjoy E.g. a lamp unit. All the above components are incorporated into the cradle for the easy removal and re-installation to a new / different vehicle, should the user choose to do so. The cradle is manufactured from a durable, hard composite material.

Installation: Caddy-Motion recommends that the installation of the in-car charging system be carried out by a main dealer or a qualified motor technician.

Charging Time : This may vary from vehicle to vehicle. It is estimated that following 18 holes of golf, a battery would take approximately two hours of the vehicle engine running. This two hour running time can be staggered over different periods of driving to ascertain a fully charged state. These times will vary due to battery size / capacity and the driving conditions of the vehicle. Examples of this may relate to use of air conditioning / heated rear and front windows / windscreen wipers etc.
